Mexican Tacos

  • Ground Beef: 2 lbs
  • Salt: 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder: 1-2 tsp
  • Paprika: 2 tbsp
  • Cumin: 1 tsp
  • Garlic Powder: 1 1/2 tsp
  • Green bell pepper Diced: 1 or half
  • Onion diced: 1/2 cup
  • Corn Tortillas: 12 (homemade/readymade)
  • For topping: Shredded Lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onion & beans 1/2 cup each


  1. In a sauce pan or skillet add ground beef, salt, chili powder, garlic, cumin, paprika along with enough water to cover meat. Cook it for approx. half an hour.

  2. Add diced onion and bell pepper, cook for 25 minutes more. Test that the meat would be soft, tender and completely cooked. Remove it from heat and set aside to cool.

  3. Take each corn tortilla one by one, add filling mixture in it bending it half up. Fill all tortillas and place it in a baking dish. Place it in preheated oven (300°), for 10 - 15 minutes and then remove.

  4. Ready to serve. Serve well with shredded vegetables and cheese along with spicy or sour sauces.
