  • Ready in: 2 hrs
  • Serves: 4
  • Complexity: medium
  • kcal: 58 cal / 17g / 1 ball
  • Origin: Middle East

Ingredients

  • Canned Chick peas: 1 can / 16 oz
  • Onion chopped: 1 large
  • Chopped Garlich: 2 cloves
  • Fresh parsley chopped: 2 tbsp
  • Corriander: 1 tsp
  • Cumin: 1 tsp
  • Flour: 2 tbsp
  • Salt & Pepper: to taste
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. Take a medium bowl, combine chick peas, garlic, onion, coriander, cumin, salt and pepper. Add flour and mash chickpeas.

  2. Mix all the ingredients together to make a partial smooth thick paste. For best result don't use a food processor because we do not require a very fine paste.

  3. Form small ping pong like balls from the mixture approx, 17gm of material to form one ball. Slightly flatted the ball. Make balls from all the mixture and deep fry in a skillet until golden brown.

  4. Serve hot with tahini paste or hummus. You can also stuff pitta bread with these falafel balls along with veggies.
